Cliff Graydon has served as the MLA for Emerson since 2007. He was re-elected in 2011 and 2016, and currently serves as the Chief Whip for the Manitoba PC Caucus.
Cliff has long been a champion for Manitoba seniors in the Legislature, promoting services that allow all Manitobans to enjoy healthy lifestyles while ensuring that seniors can maximize and enjoy their independence. He has frequently spoken out against the tax hikes on low income and fixed-income Manitoba seniors imposed by the previous NDP government.
Before entering politics, Cliff was a founding member of the Manitoba Cattle Producers Association and served on its Board of Directors. He has also served as a member of the Stuartburn Piney Agricultural Development Association and the Prairies East Sustainable Agricultural Initiative.
Cliff was born and raised in Arnaud and has spent the past 30 years farming grain and raising purebred Charolais cattle. Cliff and his wife, Rose Ellen, live in the Woodmore area and have two children, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. As part of Manitoba’s new government, he is eager to deliver a better plan for rural Manitoba that strengthens our rural communities and focuses on the real priorities of Manitoba families.
